IT'S A BOY!

Alright, I know that I am a little late posting this BUT having 2 kids under the age od 2 is more crazy than I thought. HA!

Braxton Everett Shrewsberry was born via completely natural VBAC (vaginal birth after c-section) on Wednesday, July 15th, 2009 at 7:19am. He weighed a whopping 8lbs 9 1/2 oz and was 20 1/2 in. tall. The labor was EVERYTHING that I had been hoping and praying for. With Dave and Teresa (my doula) there it was just the perfect birth experience for me.

I am writing out my complete birth story and will post that in the next few days to a week. I am sure that it will be crazy long as I dont want to forget anything about it. Check back later next to read it!

Here he is...isnt he super cute!

40+ weeks pregnant

Yeah - I never thought that I would type those words out. HA! I should have known that MY children would be the ones that would prove everyone wrong.

Here is my latest (and hopefully last) belly pic -

40 weeks pregnant

Just for giggles, here is my last belly picture with Brooklyn. I think that it was taken 2 days before my water broke.

I think that I am carrying this baby a little different because I cant tell if I was bigger NOW or with Brooklyn. What do you think?

Other than that - not too much to report. I am having some contractions but nothing that I would write home about. Dave and I are trying to walk as often as possible, so hopefully this baby will be out sometime soon!

Keep the prayers for peace (for me) and for the baby to come out WITHOUT interventions.

Thanks!

Fourth of July 2009

Fourth of July was really up in the air for us. We weren't sure if I would still be in pregnant, in labor or at home with a very small baby.

Since I was still, indeed pregnant, we decided to go to the parade in the early evening followed by some yummy Cold Stone ice cream afterward. YUM!

Here are some pics from the parade...there arent too many but enjoy!

Brooklyn & Daddy - Brooklyn was watching for more firetrucks. She DID NOT like the loud noises that they were making.

End of an era...

That's right...it's the end of an era!

So sad!

The truck is no more. Never to haul anything again. :(

I am sure that you all heard about the Toyota Tacoma Truck recall last year. Well, to make a long story short - in Tacomas made betweeen 1995 - 2000 the frame of the car may or may not be safe. Basically, the frame would rust completely away leaving the car undrivable.

Photobucket

The way that they checked to make sure YOUR truck was 'safe' to drive was that they hit the frame with a hammer (not really sure what kind of hammer). If the hammer put a whole in the frame the truck would be unsafe, if it didn't you were alright until next year.

Last year Dave took it in and it passed with flying colors. Yay! Dave was very happy as he REALLY did not want to lose his truck. He really loved it...he has even had it since college.

So Dave took the truck in for its annual frame check and this is what happened...

Photobucket

If you look close - you can see the large, circular whole covered with rust. That's right...it didnt pass! Dave was 'allowed' to drive the truck home to clean it out, etc. I was happy about that since I wanted to see the truck one last time.

RIP Truck....you will be missed!

Just ~another~ way to sleep!

Yup! That's right, Brooklyn has found a NEW and IMPROVED way to take a nap.

Sitting Up!

Dont worry I took pictures to share...Enjoy!

Maternity Pictures

I was so excited to get maternity pictures done for this pregnancy! Since Brooklyn's pregnancy was SO stressful we never got around to it. Since Keena was here this weekend through Tuesday we decided to pack Brooklyn up and go get some pitures taken. I think that they turned out great....

Enjoy...
